PHOENIX, AZ (August 22, 2005) – Real estate leader Opus West Corporation has hired Claire Janssen to the position of chief financial officer. In her new role, Janssen oversees the accounting, forecasting and analysis, human resources and IT departments for Opus West’s six-state operating region of Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas and Utah.
Prior to joining Opus West, Janssen served as a real estate due diligence consultant for Snyder Kearney, LLC, a nationwide provider of corporate and securities services to securities broker–dealer firms and other clients. Janssen’s career experience also includes service as vice president of accounting for Wells Real Estate, a national real estate investment and management firm based in Atlanta, Ga., and as vice president of business/credit analysis, vice president of institutional accounting and reporting, and director of corporate accounting/taxation for Equitable Real Estate/LendLease.

Janssen holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from George Mason University and is a certified public accountant (CPA). She is committee chair for the National Association of Real Estate Companies and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
