Opus West Announces Lease Signings at Broadstone Parkway
DALLAS  ( December 01, 2008 )
Opus West Corporation has announced its first five retail tenants at Broadstone Parkway, a 5.8-acre mixed-use project located directly west of the Galleria Dallas shopping complex at the intersections of Inwood Road, Galleria Road and Simonton Road, just off the Dallas North Tollway. With the signing of these five tenants, nearly 50 percent of the available 39,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space has now been leased.

“The Broadstone Parkway redevelopment, located across from the newly renovated Westin Galleria Dallas, is a prime location for retailers and restaurants as well as everyday-living businesses such as salons and dry cleaners,” said Steve Chilton, senior director of real estate development for Opus West Corporation. “This densely populated area is surrounded by millions of square feet of existing Class A office space, and the new construction of multiple luxury apartments and townhomes over the past year, including those at Broadstone Parkway, has brought more people into the area for both business and pleasure.”

The new tenants at Broadstone Parkway include:
  • Hibashi, a Teppan grill and sushi bar – Occupying 9,988 square feet, Hibashi, under the direction of Chefs Kenny Chong and Jay Kuma, combines full-flavor food, the drama of at-the-table Hibashi grilling, world class artistry of sushi and high-energy entertainment of a Las Vegas-style bar.
  • Chill Bubble Tea – Founded in 2004, Chill Bubble Tea is opening its first Texas location at Broadstone Parkway this fall, leasing 1,150 square feet. Bubble Tea is a combination of fruits or teas, blended together into a smoothie and poured over tapioca pearls. Tapioca pearls are small chewy pieces of tapioca that are made fresh at every store.
  • L’Image Salon – A nationally and internationally recognized full service beauty salon, L’Image Salon is leasing 1,537 square feet and will offer fine services, products and techniques.
  • Firehouse Subs – Founded by firefighting brothers Robin and Chris Sorensen, Firehouse Subs totals 2,000 square feet and specializes in hot subs, including favorites like the Hook & Ladder and Engine Company.
  • Lover’s Egg Roll – A local family favorite, Lover’s Egg Roll occupies 2,000 square feet and offers dine-in and takeout Chinese food.

The Weitzman Group is overseeing retail leasing efforts for Broadstone Parkway.

Broadstone Parkway also features 333 luxury apartments and townhomes within walking distance of more than three million square feet of office space. The apartments have 10 floor plans to choose from ranging in size from 711 square feet up to 1,280 square feet. The two-story townhomes average 1,698 square feet. Additionally, a five-story parking garage supports retail and residential parking needs, and surface parking is available for all retail and restaurant parking. The multi-family units are a joint venture between Opus West and Alliance Communities. For more information, visit www.broadstoneparkway.com.
